Have you ever watched someone on a pole and thought, “I wonder if I could do that?” We’re putting that question to the test.

This August, The Dance Barre is launching Intro to Pole, our longest beginner pole program yet: 12 full weeks built for people who have never touched a pole in their life. But before you commit to anything, we want you to come try it. Free.

Join instructor Lisa Perkins for a low-pressure, zero-experience-needed Demo Day. No flexibility required. No background in dance or fitness needed. Just show up curious and see what your body can do.

This is not a sales pitch disguised as a class. It’s genuinely just a chance to feel what pole is like before you decide if the 12-week program is right for you. Come with questions. Leave with answers (and maybe a little bit of pole-induced soreness in muscles you didn’t know you had).

A few things to know:

  • Demo Day spots are limited and tend to fill up quickly, so don’t wait too long to reserve yours.
  • Even if the 12-week Intro to Pole program fills up before Demo Day, we are still hosting this class. This is open to anyone curious, whether or not you end up registering for the full series.

Lisa Perkins rediscovered dance as an adult – not for perfection, but for joy, peace, and connection. Though she started dancing young, she often felt her spirit outpaced her body. Returning to the studio later in life, she found her true rhythm in movement and community. As a teacher, Lisa creates space for every student to explore, celebrate, and step into their own power. Her classes are grounded in curiosity, self-love, and the belief that dance is a journey not a destination.
